Shaws Komfort Motel

Stayed here several times over the yrs & always had a pleasant stay. Family that runs it are always friendly & accommodating, willing to go the extra mile. Have never had a problem or complaint, always nice & quiet. Really like convenience store located next door, also a donut shop & lunch area right next door. A +++ great value, family motel, clean & neat.

After reading these reviews, I tried very hard to avoid this place. I assumed it was horrible and nasty and nothing more than a roach motel. Let me go ahead and set the record straight. It's very clean. The owners are so friendly. There is a laundromat on site. As well as an attached store and a Mexican restaurant on the property. I haven't had any issues whatsoever. They allowed me to have my chihuahua for $10 extra a night. So each night is $70. While it may be a but pricey considering the room is small and they don't have breakfast or coffee (that I have seen) it is definitely a great place to stay. And I would definitely come back! I hope that this bad reputation they have goes away soon.

No-tell - Motel. Clean place. Basic and primitive but does the job if you need a place to stay. Note to wise; all the Patel hotels in price have the same prices so there are more accommodating places like the Lodge. Only $15 or $20 cheaper than the Days Inn. Motel is next to a convenient store.

Due to impending tornados and storms I was desperate to find a hotel room that allowed a dog and cat. Altho I was trying to avoid this place cuz of the reviews, nobody else had a room after hearing the word "cat". They were very nice (although they "saw me coming" if their prices on the web are true cuz I paid alot more with 2 pets!) But I wondered why the lot was so empty - the other places were super full (small town). The place is ancient but my room was clean and had everything I needed. Just had to wedge a chair under the door knob so the wind wouldn't blow it open cuz the door didn't seem to fit right in the frame. Next morning full lot, very sweet owner lady at checkout. If you just don't compare it to other places you've been to, you'll be fine!

Honestly, it’s not bad. I booked our room a few days in advance through Expedia, and based off the reviews, I was worried that the $50/night we paid for would become and issue when we arrived there late that night, but it wasn’t and checking in was super easy and fast. Big shoutout to the owner for staying up a little bit longer the check us in when we got there at 11pm. If you can get past the small size of the rooms, this place really isn’t bad. It’s clean, you can adjust your own temperatures in the rooms, it’s not at all in a bad area, the only issue we ran into was when housekeeping came to clean our room one day when we were out, they took our towels but didn’t replace them until the next day. I understand having to wash them, but when I went to shower the next morning I didn’t have a towel, that’s all. Other than that this place is pretty decent. They’re not dirty, and you meet a lot of good people while staying here. If you need a place ASAP and for cheap, 4/5 recommend, again with The only real issue being with the towels. Plus, this place is conveniently close to restaurants, a Walmart, and more!

Very clean nice management the housekeeper did a great job. The lady manager she was a lovely lady and sweet her daughter was very friendly . We'll stay there again was treated very well

Totally adequate. New ownership is really putting in the effort; cheapest motel in town, right next to everything, staff was nice and went out of their way to help multiple times, friendly and very accommodating even for us with our big trailer, everything was clean, doors and windows work great, AC works great (musty smell when you first come in because they keep the AC off when there are no guests, and it's a humid area, but once you put the Air Con on the musty smell goes away and the room cools beautifully). In fact they even had a TV that connects to HTMI, and we've been to nicer hotels that don't have such a new, working TV. They give you plenty of new towels every day and will change your trash cans while you're out. They have a convenience store with detergent and anything you might have forgotten, and a restaurant. They have cute nice cats outside to keep rodents away. There's a nice coffee and tea shop only one building away on the same side of the street (closed Saturdays) and the sidewalk is good. Fridge works and has almost enough space for food for 4 people for a few days. Only thing not working was the little "freezer section" in the fridge; chills but doesn't freeze. But again, been to nicer hotels that had the same problem and yet an even smaller fridge.
